"Quit. The power of knowing when to walk away"

How many times have you asked yourself: should I quit or continue? Should I stay or should I go? “Quitting on time usually feels like quitting too early,” says Annie Duke.
The right moment to quit, is when you reach THE KILLER CRITERIA. Before you start a new endeavor, set for yourself the list of signals you might see in the future that would tell you it’s time to quit. For example, killer criteria for a job change might look like this: no income increase in two years time, no visible recognition from your boss in one year, no new skills learned during the last year, no promotion opportunities within the foreseeable future.

In case you don’t have this preset killer criteria and you are in the middle of quitting decision, here are few points to consider:
✏️ How comfortable do you feel with not knowing what might have been?
✏️ If it’s a year from now and you made the decision to quit, what’s the probability you are going to be more unhappy than you are right now?
✏️ Are you feeling sorry about time and money you have already invested?
✏️ Would you value this thing you are sticking to just as much if you didn't already own it?
✏️ Could it be, you are overblowing the fears about how others will view you if you quit?

Remember: Quitting frees up resources to achieve your goals instead of getting stuck in something that just slows you down.
