"The earned life"

Motivation, ability, understanding, confidence, support, market - these are essential success factors for whatever you do, according to Marshall Goldsmith in his most recent book “The Earned Life”.
Between making the choice and pushing the pedal, ask yourself:
- Do I have the reason to succeed at a chosen task? (motivation)
- Do I have the aptitude and skills?(ability)
- Do I have the understanding what to do and how to do? (understanding)
- Do I believe that I can succeed? (confidence)
- Do I have external help I need to succeed? (support)
- Do I have a market for what I’m offering? (market)
Needless to say, more “yes” = higher chances to succeed.

And if you do your best, are fully engaged with the process, align each moment with your life purpose - you have not failed, regardless of the eventual outcome, because by doing this, you have lived the earned life.
